LLANTHONY PRIORY
Llanthony Priory dates back to the 12th century. It is chiefly famous for it's wild and beautiful setting, far up the Vale of Ewyas in the Black Mountains.
Llanthony Priory is a short stroll from Broadley Barn Cottages. There is bar in the old cellar with good homemade food and real ales. It may be closed during the week in the winter,

WALKING
Maps and guides are available in the cottages for guests to use.

Stone Carving courses take place on the farm twice a year. The tutor is the sculptor, Richard Renshaw . all abilities welcome .

FISHING
The river Honddu runs through Broadley Farm. Vouchers for trout fishing can be bought at the Skirrid garage, in Llanvihangel Crucorney.

BIG PIT, BLAENAVON
The Big Pit is a fascinating family expedition and entry is free.

BRECON MOUNTAIN RAILWAY
A short ride on a steam train through lovely scenery.

FESTIVALS
HAY FESTIVAL
Is renowned for it's stunning programme of international writers and thinkers. Hay Fever is a festival for families and children and is packed with favourite authors and workshops.

ABERGAVENNY FOOD FESTIVAL
Usually the third weekend in September.

BRECON JAZZ FESTIVAL
Usually held on the second weekend in August.
Held in the Brecon Beacons National Park, with many of the performances set in the beautiful grounds of Brecon's Christ College, and Brecon Cathedral with it's magnificent acoustics, Brecon Jazz uniquely combines the best of music, mountains, atmosphere and space. Tickets available online.

GREEN MAN FESTIVAL
This folk/experimental music festival is held in the grounds of Glanusk Park Estate. Mid August.

HAY WALKING FESTIVAL
